I wish I could say that this is the painting from the Big Bear trip that I wrote about in last month's newsletter. Sadly, that one got wiped right off of my canvas (trust me it wasn't worth keeping). This was created during my Monday night painting class (where it wasn't much warmer than Big Bear because the heater was broken that week and a snow scene was a very appropriate theme). 

It was a lesson showing how to borrow several ideas from two other paintings and combine them into a unique piece. We worked on a gray toned canvas which you can see bits of peeking through my brush strokes at the bottom of this painting.
