You're invited to the Small to Large Show Opening Reception

Have you ever wondered how an artist creates a huge landscape painting? Join me at the opening reception for the Small to Large Show at the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum to see how. The show features small field studies as well as studio enlargements. As an artist, I find shows like this one to be very instructive.

I am fortunate enough to have two of my paintings hanging in the show.

September Night In Siena

12 X 9 inch oil painting on canvas panel.
$385 (free shipping in the U.S.)

When I was in Italy recently I had the opportunity to spend the evening in Siena. Along the narrow streets of the city there are dozens of stores and restaurants. I enjoyed a nice dinner with a group of fellow painters and afterward we went to the Piazza del Campo (the center of the city) and ordered a gelato for dessert. Along the way back to our car I snapped a photo of this scene and decided to turn it into a painting.

This painting is also posted on the Artists Helping Artists Blog and if you are an artist and haven’t listened to the radio show found on the Artists Helping Artists blog then you are missing out! Leslie Saeta and Dreama Tolle Perry have put together a fantastic web radio show packed full of marketing ideas every artist should be aware of.
